Welcome to the new website for the Southern Nevada Chapter of California TESOL (SNVCATESOL).  We hope that this new website will be of benefit to current and prospective members and to anyone interested in our organization.   In our nearly two decades of affiliation with CATESOL, the California affiliate of TESOL International, we have sought to enrich the profession by bringing together those dedicated to the teaching of English as a Second Language (ESL) in the Southern Nevada region.   SNV CATESOL’s members work with learners of English in Clark County K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and adult education programs, and also serve as teacher trainers, researchers, and administrators.
 

SNVCATESOL:

• Is committed to building a community of professionals teaching English as a Second Language in Southern Nevada.
• Works to promote the highest standards in instruction, improve professional support and interaction, and increase public and government recognition of the profession.
• Provides ESL/ELL professionals in Southern Nevada with opportunities for networking and professional development.
• Hosts an annual fall conference and several other events each year.
• Welcomes all interested individuals to active membership and seeks the involvement of all its members!

All activities are coordinated by the Board of SNVCATESOL which consists of the officers elected by the membership.
